Specifically optimised for utility tracing

• Configuration for demanding environments: Optimise the instrument to handle the most complex site conditions. The Leica ULTRA locator can be configured for different project environments and offers more than 100 programmable operating frequencies. Programming modes can adjust antenna settings to improve accuracy and repeatability.
• Best frequencies in congested environments: For use in congested environments, Leica ULTRA includes Ambient Interference Measurement (AIM), which digitally analyses the surrounding area, detects noise and recommends the best frequencies for accurate utility tracing.
• Trace utilities through any obstruction: There are situations where utilities are located near or beneath obstructions. Thanks to offset measurement, Leica ULTRA can locate the target utility even when it is not directly accessible. This function uses available data to estimate horizontal distance and vertical depth.
• Transmitter-to-receiver link: Control the transmitter directly from the receiver using advanced communication between both devices. No need to walk back to the transmitter—settings can be adjusted remotely.
• High-visibility display: Clear graphical LCD display with automatic directional arrows ensures precise and fast tracing in all conditions, day or night, thanks to the backlit screen.
• GNSS and GIS integration: Single-operator data capture solution, ideal for utility mapping and surveying applications. Leica ULTRA integrates seamlessly with GNSS and GIS data collection devices.
