Beginner users can access step-by-step video tutorials directly on the LCD screen to successfully perform surveys. Advanced users, on the other hand, have access to a wide range of advanced features.
The innovative digital adjustment, for example, allows manual control of the gain bar to fine-tune device sensitivity, helping operators locate targets in complex environments with multiple underground utilities. In addition, the device offers a wider range of operating frequencies from 33 kHz to 131 kHz, including a unique 83 kHz frequency ideal for long-distance tracing.
The new utility locator integrates seamlessly with Leica DX Shield software, providing easy-to-use tracking tools and a centralised platform for managing on-site activities and multiple devices. Operators can also connect the hardware to the DX Field Shield app, enabling real-time remote data transfer of cable locator information directly to the office. Furthermore, USB connectivity allows convenient data download, analysis and product maintenance, including self-calibration features via DX Shield Office software.
