WiSenMeshWan Smart Gateway
The gateway is a key component of a Wireless Sensor Network. Its main function is to transmit commands—such as changes to temperature parameters (T)—and collect data from all the nodes forming part of the mesh network (L series).
The gateway also transmits the collected information and system data to a remote server through a mobile network or to a local server through standard RS232 connections.

WiSenMeshWAN Smart Gateway
The WiSenMeshWAN® system provides dynamic and autonomous wireless data acquisition from geotechnical sensors using state-of-the-art technology. The automated measurement of geotechnical sensors, using long-range wireless radio nodes and a Smart Gateway, allows users to focus on more demanding tasks instead of manually acquiring and recording data.
The sensors are plug-and-play and operate straight out of the box through a self-configuring radio network. Multiple interface options enable integration with third-party sensors from leading geotechnical manufacturers using analogue, digital and vibrating-wire interfaces.
Designed for up to 10 years of maintenance-free operation, the units have an IP65 or higher protection rating and feature internal power supplies and radios. Thanks to their robust industrial enclosures, the units can be installed in multiple ways to meet the different requirements of monitoring projects.

The connected geotechnical sensors and nodes automatically measure and report data at user-defined intervals, ranging from once per second to twice per week. The system can be configured to take readings at different intervals during specific periods or to change the reading interval in response to triggering events.
A fully automated and encrypted long-range radio network, capable of covering distances of up to 1.5 km between nodes and using data-hopping technology, simplifies the collection of monitoring data. Dynamic radio transmission routing and signal penetration through the ground provide further improvements. Wireless data-hopping networks are robust and easy to use, ensuring reliable monitoring data acquisition.
